Topics:Matter and Its Properties, Atomic Theory, Electrons in atoms, Periodic Table and Some Atomic Properties, Chemical Compounds, Chemical Reactions, Gases, Termochemistry, Chemical Bonding-I, Chemical Bonding-II There will be two homework. An assignment contains 10 questions and each homework contributes 10%. Homework subjects, dates and method of execution will be announced later from Ninova. Topics: All chapters

Important Remarks

  • Students must attend the section for which they are registered.
  • Course success will consist of 40% Midterm, 20% Homework (2 assignments each affecting 10%) and 40% final exam.
  • Attendance is not required.
  • Students are required to have at least 30 out of 100 (18 out of 60) from the in-term assessments to enter the final exam. Otherwise the student will have a VF grade
  • Objection to exam results and to requests for mekup exams must be processed through the Dean Office of student's faculty within 5 working days. Latter official documents needs to be transmitted to KIM 101/101E coordinator (Assoc.Prof.Dr. Muhammet Übeydullah Kahveci, kahvecimuh@itu.edu.tr)
