ABOUT DISTANCE EDUCATION IN KIM101EL

  • KIM101EL 'General Chemistry Lab' courses will be held through distance education in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year.
  • The courses will be done by broadcasting on the day and time of the lesson. During the courses, experiments will be explained with video support. The laboratory book has been added to the 'Class Files'.
  • Your final grade is affected by 10% of the security exam and 9% of each of 10 experiments (10% security exam + 90% experiments). The experiment grade is based on your homeworks.
  • On the day of the lesson, homework questions will be added to the 'Homework' section in Ninova and you will be given 1 week to upload the answers to Ninova. The prepared assignments are expected to comply with the following rules in terms of format:
  1. You have to prepare your assignment in your handwriting. Assignments written in Word or another program and uploaded to the system will not be graded.
  2. Handwriting should be as readable as possible. Unreadable assignments will not be graded.
  3. On the each page of the assignments, the name, surname and student number should be visible. The assignments that have someone else's name or do not have a name-surname are given a grade of 'G' (Not attended).
  • The rules to be followed while uploading the assignments to Ninova are given below:
  1. The photos of the pages of the assignments should be taken or scanned in a scanner, if available, and uploaded to the system as a PDF file. Formats other than PDF will not be accepted. The files prepared in this way must be checked for readability before uploading to the system.
  2. The assignments have to be uploaded to Ninova according to the calendar specified at the beginning of the semester. The assignments sent by e-mail, etc. will not be accepted for any reason.
